Baby Shower

As told by John Barros:

Just got in from a wonderful evening… St. Andrews threw such an awesome baby shower for Chris and Heather, a couple that chose life.10373515_10204109055835030_4039185472117202804_n  I am completely blown away by the Goodness of God.  He has completely turned their lives around.  This Church has wrapped them in a blanket of love like I have never seen.  The party was cool.. they had games where people tried to draw a picture on a plate on their head, and the guys had a, “who can drink a bottle the fastest” contest. 10456015_10204109054514997_904486698587974331_n Cannot believe how fun it was.  Those of you that have been praying for them from the beginning thank you, and please keep it up.  A big thank you to Ted and Sheryl Stiemann for opening their home to a massive crowd. 10350615_10204109054835005_2544732502326073047_n.

Dark Days

As told by John Barros:

Today was awful.  It wasn’t all that different than most but there was one exception: a young lady came down here for an abortion that had come here over a year ago for an abortion but chose life.  She told me she wasn’t going to listen this time.  A dear young lady, Tani, and I begged her all afternoon. 10401341_10204099151267422_1962117452844477478_n I walked with her all the way to the train station and back offering her the hope there is in Jesus.  I was even able to find her a place to live for her and the baby she had chosen life for a year ago.  She sat on the porch joking and mocking with the rest of the people until they called her in…. a short time later a worker literally drug her to the door and her two friends drug her across the grass to the car, buckling under her weight dropping to the ground as she moaned.  These are the encounters that rip my guts out and haunt my dreams.  When you get so entwined in their lives and have it end like this is awful… I am so thankful that God sent Tani today.  This young lady ministers by herself most of the time in front of an abortion clinic in Atlanta.  What a trooper with a vast knowledge of Scripture and a heart filled with Christ’s love for people.  So thankful she was here today.  10418183_10204099152427451_1757553193587569979_n.

Hard Hearts on a Busy Day

As told by John Barros:

It was busy down here today with some very hard hearts. One lady who couldn’t speak chose life. Beth Goble had spoken with her and the lady who drove her. She was still hard but came out after the preaching.

I am so thankful for Andrew Gilhooley, Bradley Spruill, and Jesse Stiemann from Reformation Bible College for spending some time here before their classes.

Ministering with R.C. Sproul Jr.

As reported by John Barros:

What can be more wonderful than ministering with your hero, R.C. Sproul Jr.? Having him lead in prayer, bringing Romero and Amelia to our Father… Praying for them to trust God as they have chosen life for their twenty plus week Baby.   So Beautiful to watch God work.   Please pray for them.

Six babies saved today

As reported by John Barros:

Doors slamming, guys cursing, ladies beaming, can only mean one thing…. The Holy Spirit is at work!  Believe it or not six ladies chose life today.

Talking with a young lady.

Andrea talking with a young lady.

I’m so thankful for all of the ladies who came down today, including Andrea, who is the director of the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in Sanford and Oviedo.  She came down and worked so hard on the sidewalk all day.  What troopers all these ladies are…. God is so good!

Such a blessing to have David Stephenson down here today.

It was such an honor and blessing to have Pastor David Stephenson from McLean Presbyterian Church, in Washington DC, ministering with me down here today.  It was crazy with people coming for check ups, abortions,  and women walking out back to hasten their late term delivery abortions.

Then their was Randal the abortionist, driving in with a girl in his car. He takes out her food and blankets and pillows saying, “I had to hint her down to get this one.”  There was one young lady that chose life, but it was generally an awful day…..

Four babies saved today.

As reported by John Barros:

God is so amazing… It has been so hard down here the last couple of weeks, and then today He worked on the hearts of four ladies that chose life.  The first lady this morning couldn’t speak English.  I tried my best but finally got Waleska on the phone. She spoke to her until she got here and they went to Choices.  Then two other ladies came that had been contemplating abortion.  I took them to Choices as well.

It was so cool being there with all three young ladies.  Then I came back and one more couple, Amanda and Joe choose life, and I sent them over to First Life.  What a blessing it is just to watch Him work.

Mary and Joe’s story.

As reported by John Barros:
What a crazy day down at the pit today!  The abortionist Randal Whitney came driving in with his horn honking, and music blaring.  We reached out to ladies and preached the Word for quite awhile before anything happened.

Crying out to the Lord in prayer.

Crying out to the Lord in prayer.

Then a young lady named Mary came out with a petrified look on her face.  Her boyfriend Joe followed her out, and another young lady came out like she was in a race.  The young lady and her boyfriend told us that Randal Whitney got her on the table, started asking her how her sex life was, and then proceeded to tell her what he would like to do to her.  After calming down she decided to take the Crisis Pregnancy Center materials and said they weren’t going to go through with the abortion.

Rejoicing that Joe and Mary left choose life.

A little while after that another young couple came out and went to the Crisis Pregnancy Center.  Some precious young ladies from Reformation Bible College spent the day down here and were really shaken up from all the blindness and death.  Jessica was moved to call out to the people one more time before she left.  As she tearfully was beginning to end a precious young lady by the name of Mary Beth came walking straight out and asked her to explain the Gospel to her, and boy did she.

We were able to pray with her, exchange contact information, give her a Bible book and tracts.  Jessica was still crying but these were different tears. 🙂

Tasha’s amazing story

As reported by John Barros:

God is so amazing.  Every day He shows Himself to be filled with mercy and love.  Today started out so cold and rainy and dark, but then He moved in a mighty way in the hearts of two young ladies. First, there was a battle going on in one young couple, Alfredo and Maria.  They had come for an abortion, but God was working on their hearts. They were in and out many times battling with what they were about to do.  We were able to speak with them several times. Finally, he told us he didn’t want to do it and that he was going to get her.  After a while an amazing thing happened. A friend of mine that works down the street, Jillian, came down with her daughter and said, “John, I think my niece is in there.”  She described them and we told her she was. She went in the front door and called to her niece and they all came out together.  They chose life, took all the information and went to Jillian’s house.  Please pray for them.
Then there was Tasha, she showed up thinking she was 10 weeks pregnant with not much hope.  She was getting help in removing herself from an abusive relationship. We spent time speaking, and Savannah loved on her like only she can do.

We loaded her up with a blessing bag and all the information and leads for help. Then one of the strangest things I have ever experienced happened:  I reached into my pocket to get a card and told her if there was anything she needed that they couldn’t provide to please call me.  When I went to give her the card she shrieked and began falling back… We didn’t know what to do and she kept saying, oh my gosh over and over.  She said, “You have to see this.” She began fumbling through her purse and pulled out a worn out, crumpled card. She said, “I don’t know where this came from or how it got in my purse, but this morning I prayed for God to lead me to this man.”  It was one of my old cards.  She had no idea who I was.  We were all just thanking God.  Her answered prayer gave her so much hope.  Please pray for all these folks.  We serve an amazing God!

A wonderful day of encouragement, prayer, and fellowship.

As reported by John Barros:

What a blessed day at OWC… They were closed for abortions today but there were quite a few that came thinking they could walk in or looking for information.  One young lady named Lattice came with her boyfriend and they went in but came out quickly saying the place smelled like death.  They asked for a flyer to a local Crisis Pregnancy Center, and said they were going there instead.

A couple of young ladies, Jessica and Abigail, came down for the first time today……. Abigail wanted to share the Gospel with the workers, and they both sang hymns.  What an encouragement and blessing they were to me and others down here.  What a day, filled with encouragement, prayer, and fellowship.
