Tasha’s amazing story

As reported by John Barros:

God is so amazing.  Every day He shows Himself to be filled with mercy and love.  Today started out so cold and rainy and dark, but then He moved in a mighty way in the hearts of two young ladies. First, there was a battle going on in one young couple, Alfredo and Maria.  They had come for an abortion, but God was working on their hearts. They were in and out many times battling with what they were about to do.  We were able to speak with them several times. Finally, he told us he didn’t want to do it and that he was going to get her.  After a while an amazing thing happened. A friend of mine that works down the street, Jillian, came down with her daughter and said, “John, I think my niece is in there.”  She described them and we told her she was. She went in the front door and called to her niece and they all came out together.  They chose life, took all the information and went to Jillian’s house.  Please pray for them.
Then there was Tasha, she showed up thinking she was 10 weeks pregnant with not much hope.  She was getting help in removing herself from an abusive relationship. We spent time speaking, and Savannah loved on her like only she can do.

We loaded her up with a blessing bag and all the information and leads for help. Then one of the strangest things I have ever experienced happened:  I reached into my pocket to get a card and told her if there was anything she needed that they couldn’t provide to please call me.  When I went to give her the card she shrieked and began falling back… We didn’t know what to do and she kept saying, oh my gosh over and over.  She said, “You have to see this.” She began fumbling through her purse and pulled out a worn out, crumpled card. She said, “I don’t know where this came from or how it got in my purse, but this morning I prayed for God to lead me to this man.”  It was one of my old cards.  She had no idea who I was.  We were all just thanking God.  Her answered prayer gave her so much hope.  Please pray for all these folks.  We serve an amazing God!

A wonderful day of encouragement, prayer, and fellowship.

As reported by John Barros:

What a blessed day at OWC… They were closed for abortions today but there were quite a few that came thinking they could walk in or looking for information.  One young lady named Lattice came with her boyfriend and they went in but came out quickly saying the place smelled like death.  They asked for a flyer to a local Crisis Pregnancy Center, and said they were going there instead.

A couple of young ladies, Jessica and Abigail, came down for the first time today……. Abigail wanted to share the Gospel with the workers, and they both sang hymns.  What an encouragement and blessing they were to me and others down here.  What a day, filled with encouragement, prayer, and fellowship.

Pondering life and death.

As reported by John Barros:

OWC is closed for abortions today and possibly tomorrow.  Sitting here, looking at some of the chairs that are being thrown, pondering all the people that have sat in them.  They represent so much pain, misery and death.  But I also wonder how many people have sat in them, and have  had their eyes opened by Jesus.  May the Lord keep this place from ever opening its doors again.

Moesha

As reported by John Barros:

What an unbelievable honor to serve with my dear brothers and sisters from Reformation Bible College and St. Andrew’s today.

Such a battle happened today….We ended up seeing God turn the hearts of five young ladies. One was a fourteen year old girl named Moesha that came with her Mother, Aunt and Uncle.  She went in happily proclaiming that she was having an abortion.  After hearing God’s Word her Aunt ran to the back in tears and Moesha proclaimed that she didn’t want to do it.  Chaos broke out; many people called the clinic to try to stop the abortion from being done.

A worker inside even sent her outside to speak to me.  Counselors were offering help, and the Mother was very angry.  The clinic finally sent them away, refusing to do the abortion.  As they pulled out the Mom went inside and left Moesha in the car.  She rolled the window down with a massive smile and was waving and saying thank you.  It was a wild day today and many of the folks that came had never seen God work like this before.   What a prayerfully loving group, so awesome to see people come, expecting to see God move

Another crazy day at OWC

As reported by John Barros:

Another one of those crazy late term abortion days at OWC; almost thirty ladies came down today.  It was insane with a stream of people claiming to be Christians.

One lady told us she was here for her fourteenth abortion and was going to go to a Bible Study tonight. Then there was a guy that told us he was OK because he was baptized.  Some pretty vile comments, and even had one lady preparing for an abortion through yoga on the front lawn.  Sometimes down here there is a spirit of chaos, but when that happens you know God is working.

Praise the Lord that five ladies chose life.  One of the ladies chose life over the objections of her boyfriend; and the Moms sitting on the porch cheered for her but could not and would not see their own folly.  Thankfully there was a steady stream of help from many godly young men.  What troopers and blessing these men are.

FIVE babies saved today

Praise God!! FIVE babies were rescued today when God’s Word softened the hearts of their moms and dads.

Pray for Jessica, who let us pray with her;

Lamar and Sheila, who brought two of their precious babies with them and were turned from killing their third and thankful for us praying with them.

Tamari, who “grew up in the church” and whose very hard heart God changed.

Juan and Stephanie.

Maria, whose mother was so upset that she chose life that she threatened to pepper spray Natalie when she offered a list of resources as they left the killing place.

Praise God with us for the power of His Word and pray for these moms and dads as they deal with various challenges in their lives..
