Beauty in the Midst of Darkness

As told by John Barros:

Today was one of those days you truly wish would not happen.  After being so slow a dozen young ladies came to kill their babies.  That’s bad enough, but one of them was someone I know; she came down and it was a war all day long.  She kept coming out, sitting on the wall and talking; during the preaching she looked out constantly. 10419019_10204479324851524_4360114647013537237_nWas able to get her best friend down to talk to her, and explained how the Jesus she thought had forgiven her before having her abortion was a figment of her imagination, not the Jesus of the Bible.  All the folks that came down to serve found themselves in a battle of so much prayer and pleading….they worked so hard.  After all this she went through with it.

Extremely tough day with late term mockers and only two turn ladies turn away.  There was a really beautiful thing about today though: a young lady, Kaitlin, spent the whole day down here.  She heard the gospel preached and stayed all day helping.  She joined the college kids in singing some hymns and Isaac spent a long time explaining the gospel to her.  We all prayed with her and she will be coming to St. Andrew’s on Sunday.  Such beauty in the midst of darkness. 10475511_10204479325411538_5431735788304711271_n Got home and ran to a pot luck at church.  The fellowship was wonderful and then Pastor R.C. Sproul did a study on Ephesians 5, about darkness and light, and the exposing of darkness…..so timely.  God is so good.  Please continue to pray for the end of this place..

Thankful for Daylan

As told by John Barros:

Please continue to pray that this place would go down soon; once again the numbers were down.  Seven workers and only three clients today….I really believe it cannot last much longer.  There is much going on and I will try to write about that next week.

Had another member of Central Baptist in Sanford, Glen, come down to help today.  He was a blessing.  I really would like to say how thankful I am for a precious young lady and member of St Andrew’s, Daylan Petterson.  10348465_10204465749112139_4458817144432411419_nShe came down to do a report about three months ago and God has really given her a heart for this ministry.  She works tirelessly in prayer; pleading with those going inside, counseling with those that choose life…. she is such an encouragement and models Jesus to anyone around her.10527538_10204465748552125_5076695123999915340_n.

Today Was Amazing

As told by John Barros:

Today was amazing… Only two people came for abortions and one of them chose life. Please pray for Brittany, she went to choices and has set up future appointments.  Pray that the Lord would keep her strong and that her pride wouldn’t keep her from reaching out for help.

God truly seems to be clamping off OWC’s money supply.  The abortionists are really getting angry…..Randall told the RBC kids that we are “terrorizing” women that he is trying to help.  There were lots of people that came for other things and we were able to have lots of conversations.  Bradley and Philip were here, as well as Shari who brought her boys down to help.10530765_10204438208943652_2663179701899782327_n  And Tracy, who just had her baby got to thank Shari for the stroller she got her.  Her baby should be able to come home next week.  Jovannah came and brought her little big man down to help.  He is nine months, weighs twenty-seven pounds, and wears eighteen month clothes.  10518634_10204438207703621_2323922779785087059_n Jovannah has come a long way and actually brought a guy here to have us talk him out of bringing his lady here.  We also had the pleasure of having Lutheran Pastor Ed DeWitt down to visit.  He was here to tell us about his home for unwed mothers.  Please continue to pray… I really believe God is answering and this place is shriveling up and dying.10527512_10204438208503641_2151617504440813246_n.

Lauda

As told by John Barros:

Well I never know who the Lord is sending down to serve on any given day….He sent a wonderful crew down here today.  10391388_10204430810158687_1206759340936426082_nThis was the strangest Wednesday I have ever seen…. Only four ladies came down here to kill their babies.  Two began their late term abortions, and there were two others.   Randal came late and was gone by 1:30 pm.  There was a young lady, Lauda, that came back for a check up; they sent her out and she spoke with us.  She said Randall has messed her up on the inside, and said she was going to get checked out when she got back to her home country.  We prayed with her, asking God to bring her to repentance and help her.  She was moved and crying as she walked away with the coward that brought her here. 10569003_10204430809838679_1499896309653996995_n (1) Lauda has had everything happen to her that she was warned about several times the day she came.  She is a wreck physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  It is so hard to watch this happen to people.  And these guys are such cowards….they could learn by watching little Jeffrey taking care of baby Trinity. 10509657_10204430810638699_1187401049507198891_nPlease continue to pray, as the numbers are starting to drop down here.  The word is out on this place… even Randall the other day said we are, “terrorizing” the ladies.  He was very angry.  I would really like to see some miracle bring them down, but their god is money and if money doesn’t show up they will be gone..

Ann

As told by John Barros:

So thankful for all your prayers… we had a wonderful time this morning with Ann.   We got to hear how God caused a scream to well up inside her inside the clinic that said, “Get out of here!!!”  Please continue to pray for her… she is a very brave young lady.  She has two sixteen week beautiful babies in her womb, along with her other two small children.  There are some hurdles ahead but the God that intervened here will continue to guide and strengthen.  Ann has three new friends from St. Andrews: Sheryl, Beth, and Daylan that have already poured out so much love to her. 1972516_10204422034499301_4474905794088487424_n So beautiful when the church works together.  It was awesome to give Ann two blessing bags.  It’s so sad to see so many go through the abortion clinic when there is so much love waiting for them.  Again please continue to pray. 10363952_10204422035499326_7278773733660265232_n.

Asking for Prayer

As told by John Barros:

Asking for prayer… I just got off the phone with a young lady named Ann.  Ann is a young Mom with two children; the oldest is two years old and the youngest is nine months.  She went to have an abortion today and has chosen life.  Ann found out today she is going to have twins… her husband is angry and abusive.   A dear lady from St. Andrews is going to give her a temporary place for her and her children.   And I have asked a couple of ladies from church to meet with us tomorrow morning…. please pray everything goes well and ends safely..

Blessed and Encouraged

As told by John Barros:

What a difference a new week can bring…. so thankful to have Daylan Petterson  and Tracy Sarnicki come down to serve today.  10305174_10204416461719985_3275991269223674981_nWe had a couple of ladies thankfully choose life and several ladies turn away.  I heard some extremely vile things today but God was so good.  Then in mid afternoon when our brains had turned to soup the Lord blessed us by having our pastor, Burk Parsons, and his family come to encourage us.  There is nothing as wonderful as having the pastors, elders, deacons, and members of St. Andrews work together to fight this battle and welcome those Jesus calls to Himself.  We are so blessed and so thankful.1909757_10204416462119995_7279840491914720126_n.

Interesting Day

As told by John Barros:

Well today started out awesome!  Some wonderful people that came to my, “Who Will Stand” meeting at St. Andrews last week came down to help.  They are from Central Baptist Church in Sanford, Florida.

10456012_10204394841659497_7899057263558313219_n This week has just really been the strangest one I have ever seen.  Only four couples came today.  As the preaching went on they came out one by one with heads hung down and left.  This happened until they were all gone… none of them would speak and a couple had info but I really don’t know what happened. 10539123_10204394842979530_5902099034715740321_n Melissa called the clinic to see if they were open and they said yes.  It was just very strange.  The folks from OHOP came down to pray.  No one else came but then at 4:00 people came.  One was a lady that began her late term abortion Wednesday, along with some check ups and a few new people.  The people from the morning were not there.  Randall never showed up…. just a bunch of people standing around waiting.  I had someone call to see about tomorrow and they say they will not take appointments till noon.  This has been the toughest week in years… there were hardly any that came and there were several that left but none that were talked to, prayed with, and taken to a CPC.  Please continue to pray for us down here.  10346372_10204394842579520_1096613159555400322_n.

Tough Week

As told by John Barros:

I took this picture while Philip  was pleading with folks inside… It seemed so fitting. 10448769_10204387667680152_385267185830237164_n Well, only three new ladies came today.  There were a couple that were left over in labor from yesterday.  One young lady came and spoke to us, said she was sorry and left. Please pray she gets the help she needs.  Thank you for praying, this week has been a bit tougher than normal..

Presuming Upon God’s Grace

As told by John Barros:

My pastor, R.C. Sproul, spoke in his sermon yesterday about people presuming upon God’s grace even when they are killing their children… we sure had several of those people come today.  It’s amazing to hear people day in and day out say God will forgive them, or already has as they go into this place.  We had many conversations today, some filled with tears, but only had one turn away. 10516868_10204366354027324_4423859515223880606_n So thankful to have Mr. and Mrs. Sarnicki, who came to the, “Who Will Stand” meeting come down.  They spent the whole day down here… what a blessing they are.  More of the RBC kids are filtering back in and they worked very hard today.  God was glorified10509660_10204366354467335_6034916891076078102_n.
