Forty Days for Life

As told by John Barros:

  Had such a wonderful day!  Started out serving out front of Dr. Pendergraft’s other abortion clinic, and then spoke at a Forty Days for Life luncheon.10310102_10152667816976894_8938473202638185800_n  John and Tewannah Aman, who head up “Broward County Right to Life” invited me to come speak.  It was such a blessing to meet fifty wonderful people; I even got to meet my dear friend’s son there.  Many things are happening down south.  God is moving and raising up many that want to serve Him. 10660298_10204761840394236_8264654900146865792_n.

Tough Day

As told by John Barros:

  Today was another tough day.  Sarah‘s father, mother, and sister Emily came back again.  There was enough for a choir here today but actually only had time for a few hymns because of all the preaching and conversations.  10603689_10204754367407416_7419085640905960011_n  The drama of the day was a guy that brought his mistress for an abortion.  He was afraid his wife would find out and he had eight other kids.  In fact, he brought one of his sons to help.  He fell under conviction and took her out of there choosing life.  Then a couple hours later they were back.  That was painful, to all involved.10606387_10204754370087483_8226618877622764350_n

   There was a delightful part to the day: a young lady that was coming to abort twins chose life.  When coming out her man looked to us and said, “It must feel good to win one every once and a while!”  It was awesome; there was much joy and thanksgiving to God for opening their eyes.  Rey was our hero today, because he brought pizzas for everyone.

Thank you all for praying, and I would sure request prayer tomorrow as I am going to be speaking at a pro life event in Ft. Lauderdale.  Thank you..

Kaitlin

As told by John Barros:

  Today is a day I will never forget.  Warren came down to serve and it was a rather busy day.  A dear brother from St. Andrew’s, Rey, also stopped by to see what goes on down here.  His family prays for the work down that goes on down here.10457789_10204748452179539_6625365099353578766_n  Had to preach again in the afternoon when they came to pick up the dead babies.  Rey got to see Jesus turn the heart of a young lady and she chose life.  As the lady and her family pulled up they were so thankful and took the info to get help.  Rey was so blessed to see this because there really is nothing like watching God work in the hearts of people.

  The preaching in the afternoon gets much more prophetic than in the morning because time is running out.  A young lady, Kaitlin, is serving her community service down here with me… don’t ask.  God works in mysterious ways.  Well when she heard the sermon about what happens to those that die without Christ she said, “What about me, John?”  When I was done we sat on the wall and went through the Gospel.  She definitely saw where she stood with God and her need to repent.  It was truly beautiful.  She is one special young lady.  Please pray for her and the lady that chose life.  Kaitlin wants to come to St. Andrew’s on Sunday evenings because she has to work in the mornings.  God is so good.10614198_10204748452539548_3821655273070086721_n.

Abortion is Never Really Over

As told by John Barros:

  So you come down to Orlando, from Washington, to visit your daughters at Reformation Bible College with your whole family.  What do you do?  Do you go to Disney or Universal? Not if you are Gary Woodroof: you come serve your God on the sidewalks at OWC.  Gary is a worship Pastor in Washington State.  He brought his daughter Emily to serve with Jessica.  What an unbelievable pleasure this was.  Such singing and harmonies; I wish they would never have stopped.  10352342_10204742299345722_7719528694412684695_n What a family these folks are; so much love.  Their other daughter, Sarah, had school today at RBC, but will be down on Friday and hopefully they will all return.

  Also got to serve with Bonnie today.  We had one choose life but is confused.  Please pray she stays strong.  We also had a turn away and then a lady showed up with so much anger.  She had an abortion here seventeen years ago; she said it was done by James Pendergraft.  According to her, he messed her up inside.  She was trying to get records but they say that they don’t have them anymore.  Then she began showing the anger and pain that she has been carrying all these years.  Bonnie and I got to speak with her and gave her a local CPC to contact to help her deal with the pain.  We had a time of prayer with her and she left.

   Abortion is never really over.  This lady has been carrying it all these years and then it bursts to the surface one day.  One of the biggest lies they tell the ladies down here is that it will be over today.  Please pray for her.  10612534_10204742299025714_1147372798713768700_n.

Strange Day

As told by John Barros:

  Such a strange day; had a few things happen that I have not seen before.  One young lady was extremely angry that we were there and called the police before the doors even opened and a police officer came down.  He went up to speak with the girl and told her that we had every right to be there, but then he began to encourage them to have the abortions.  He told them, “We all make mistakes and you can just ask for forgiveness. That’s what they don’t understand.”  10639592_10204692923791364_376385029578035251_n  I don’t know why but I was shocked to see this.  It’s bad enough to know the state sanctions abortion and protects abortionists but to have them actively encourage people coming to kill their babies is a bit much.

  Randall Whitney pulled in today honking and waving.  He got out of his car and said, “Good morning!  Looks like we have a full house, thank you!”

  Some pretty angry hateful people down there today.  It was like the police officer pumped them up.  Sarah, ND, and Bradley came down from RBC.  ND preached again for his second time and he is really doing a great job.  Beth and Bradley are rocks and Sarah worked with a man and his daughter.  They ended up choosing life and left thankfully but I had never run into people like this.  They are Christian Science; they don’t believe in medical help and will die before getting medical help, but they were willing to come for this kind of medical help?  Nothing ever makes sense down here.1896895_10204692926191424_6379046571916170353_n.

Warren

As told by John Barros:

  Got to serve today with my friend Warren today.  He normally serves in Lakeland, but comes here on Thursdays.  Today was pretty busy but God did some wonderful things. There were a couple of people that left, and hopefully will stay away. 10592780_10204676320536293_2324922753425407432_n  Gilbert and Rose came, but God turned their precious hearts.  They were so thankful and it was truly a joy praying with them.  Lately I have seen so many ladies come saying they have to kill their babies because they don’t want to be tied to their baby’s Dad for twenty years; today there were three ladies that told me this.  One lady was named Tracy.  She told us she didn’t want to be with the jerk of a boyfriend she is with; she also said she had no feelings for her baby.  After going through the Word and having a time of prayer she began to weep.  When it comes to dealing with God she wasn’t as tough as she thought.  She really is a sweet young lady.  Please pray for her, she chose life and never went inside. She is going to a Crisis Pregnancy Center.  Her boyfriend wants the baby as well but she doesn’t want him.

Had some great news the young couple from yesterday that went to Choices for counseling.  They reaffirmed that they have chosen to keep their baby and have set more appointments.  Please continue to pray for all these folks and the ministry down here. Thank you. 10653442_10204676319896277_732101462126297349_n.

No Day is Ever the Same

As told by John Barros:

  No day is ever the same down here.  Several of the RBC kids came down and helped out in the morning. Jesse, Jessica, Bonnie and Delaney have filtered back in from serving in many different missions/ministries over the Summer.  Bonnie even served all the way in New Guinea.  So eternally thankful for these young people.10650009_10204667968567499_4622012267091905658_n

 God turned the heart of one young couple and they left to get help.  So much going on with so many down here today.  Please continue to pray. .

Harbor House

As told by John Barros:

 I had the opportunity to go to a class that Choices was putting on today.  They had a wonderful class on domestic violence.  Harbor House does an unbelievably good job helping victims of this horrible sin.  I had no idea how ignorant I was of how many different levels there are to this.  So thankful for people that do everything from counseling, to getting people into temporary safe environments, ext.
I learned so much; I really needed to know many things taught here to minister to others.     http://www.harborhousefl.com/

David

As told by John Barros:

  Today was pretty awful.  There were a couple people that turned away, but they wouldn’t stop and talk so I don’t know why they left.  A dozen babies died today.

 The light of the day is David.  David and his lady have been coming by almost everyday.  They are responding very well to the Gospel and have many questions; they are going to be coming to St. Andrew’s on Sunday.  Today David became absolutely overwhelmed by what was going on here.  He begged me to take my sign and show everyone.  Then he went up and down the street and stood on the corners.  He told me that he stands in front of businesses holding and spinning signs.  He said, “Can I please hold a sign for God?” Please pray for them, they are an awesome couple. 1902901_10204653543926892_5199750161334727077_n.

Excited to Worship

As told by John Barros:

  Tonight I have a massive desire to worship; I can’t wait to get to church tomorrow.  My friend, Tanner, showed me this hymn last Saturday and I can’t get it out of my mind.  It is so beautiful.  Not just as a poem, but the truth within it is wonderful.

Not What My Hands Have Done
By: Horatius Bonar

“Not what my hands have done can save my guilty soul;
Not what my toiling flesh has borne can make my spirit whole.
Not what I feel or do can give me peace with God;
Not all my prayers and sighs and tears can bear my awful load.

Your voice alone, O Lord, can speak to me of grace;
Your power alone, O Son of God, can all my sin erase.
No other work but Yours, no other blood will do;
No strength but that which is divine can bear me safely through.

Thy work alone, O Christ, can ease this weight of sin;
Thy blood alone, O Lamb of God, can give me peace within.
Thy love to me, O God, not mine, O Lord, to Thee,
Can rid me of this dark unrest, And set my spirit free.

I bless the Christ of God; I rest on love divine;
And with unfaltering lip and heart I call this Savior mine.
His cross dispels each doubt; I bury in His tomb
Each thought of unbelief and fear, each lingering shade of gloom.

I praise the God of grace; I trust His truth and might;
He calls me His, I call Him mine, My God, my joy and light.
’Tis He who saveth me, and freely pardon gives;
I love because He loveth me, I live because He lives.”906655_10204638773037629_2772202863001778388_o.
