God Gives New Sight

As reported by John Barros:

God is so good. First thing this morning a man I have never met before, Jim, stopped by. He said he saw the video and realized I was the man he has driven by for years. Jim said that he has been deeply convicted since seeing it. He asked me why he wasn’t out on the sidewalk, and I said I don’t know. He owns a business on the next block and said he could hear the preaching. After a great discussion he is going to give it a try. He gave me a big thumbs up.

Then believe it or not three real men stood up and got their ladies out of the clinic and chose life together. One young couple Rhonnie and Joe stood outside in the “valley of decision” for over 45 minutes. There were two turnaways as well.

It was busy today; about 15 lives were taken.

Thank God Warren, from Minnesota, came down to help. He also saw the video and came down to OWC. Then Bryan, came down, and last but not least dear Deanna came down.

There is nothing like this ministry, nothing like the faces of those Jesus gives sight to, nothing like the sweet fellowship of brothers and sisters in the battle. Thank you so much for your prayers; He heard you!.

OWC’s Business Slowing

As reported by John Barros:

I got to minister with Miss Donna today. We were able to see God turn the heart of a scared young lady from Nashville. Please pray for Torri; she chose life and went to a CPC. She is brand new to Orlando and has no friends or family here. I’m trusting that she made some friends today.

Only four went through with it today. Please continue to pray that the numbers keep falling. I don’t know how they can continue at this pace. Even with all their discounts and coupons it is dropping..

Celebrating God’s Great Mercy

As reported by John Barros:

Today was definitely a day of celebrating God’s great mercy. Everyone was smiling because five ladies chose life today, and there was one young lady who couldn’t get out of there fast enough but she didn’t talk to us so it will have to be called a turnaway.

Sure can’t go into all the stories but there was one amazing one I must tell. A man got upset during the preaching and came out. He stood there fuming under conviction. God turned his heart right before our eyes and he went and held the door open so all could hear clearly. I could see Charles the police officer waving his arms wildly to get him to shut the door. The man went inside and brought his wife out. She came over with the most beautiful smiling face, crying and thanking us. We had a time of prayer and they were off.

It was like homecoming down here today. It’s sad that Andy is leaving for a while but Kelly Clinger, Tiffany Reading, Sarah Hemadi, and Sarah Fowler filtered in and out. Tom and Sara Donkin came down from Lexington, Kentucky. Warren, a wonderful brother from Minnesota, came by and will be hanging around for a couple of weeks.

There was also a young atheist girl named Mary who came. She got to hear the gospel all day, and she saw the power of God’s Word changing hearts. I asked her if she was ready to commit. She smiled and said “Almost.” She had a long conversation with Andy and Bryan as well. Please pray for her; she is at a very tough spot in her life right now.

God is so good!.

Every Day is Different

As reported by John Barros:

Every day is different down here in O-town. Today Pastor Bill, a Gator on Steve Spurrier’s team, came by.

He brought Matt, a young warrior from his church. Matt wanted to minister but OWC wasn’t doing abortions today. We went to EPOC but they weren’t either. We went to All Women’s and they were.

We were able to work with the two Michelles and it was wonderful. The ladies were out front and helped a young Indian couple get out and go to a CPC. Matt and I were able to have many conversations with Sophia and her friend. God turned Sophia’s heart and it was beautiful.

I met another little warrior named Lauren today. She is in fifth grade and worked very hard.

A Slow Day for Abortions

As reported by John Barros:

God is soooo good!! Today was amazing at OWC. Only four people came down here. One was a young lady who was doing a research project. She said when she googled OWC she saw some of the videos we have posted about the place.

Another young lady by the name of Angela came. She spoke no English. I was able to get Annette on the phone and the translation went on for thirty minutes until God opened her eyes. She chose life and followed Bryan over to First Life. Please pray for her as she has three children already and no man in her life.

Then a state inspector came down to do an impromptu inspection. She came out and said they were so nasty that she is coming back with help. Well it even gets better: the abortionist on Mondays comes from Tampa. At 1:30 the two who were left inside came out and said he wasn’t coming for two abortions. Pray this gives them more time to think.

Please continue to pray. The amount of people coming has shrunk dramatically. Pray that all the news reports, videos, etc. continue to keep folks away and that it shrivels up under this crazy heat!.

WHO WILL STAND?

Leclerc Brothers Moving Pictures came to Orlando to help share the story of what God is doing at Orlando Women’s Center through John Barros and the many other Christians who minister there. By His grace many babies have been saved and many lives have been changed by His Spirit.

Watch and share this short video and consider what the Lord may be calling you to do to join the fight around the country and around the world to offer hope and help to perishing children, their mothers and families.

Paid Hecklers

abortion clinic Orlando Women's CenterI had only been at OWC for about five minutes when a man came up the sidewalk carrying his infant grandson in a car seat. He attempted to go inside, but they don’t allow babies in the building. So his daughter came outside to see him. He gave her money and spoke with her for a few minutes as we offered help. She said she already had two children and didn’t want a third one. The grandfather carried his grandson back to the car and drove off with the knowledge that another grandbaby was scheduled for death. Although we stayed throughout the day, the mama did not come back out.

A few minutes later, several fathers who had brought their girlfriends to kill their children came outside in a group to smoke together on the side of the building. As John spoke to them about stepping up to their responsibilities and standing up as men, they hung their heads and shuffled their feet. Then next door, behind a greenery-covered fence in the vacant lot, an intoxicated man screamed at us to leave the fathers alone, mocked God’s word, and other epithets. Several of the fathers took up a small collection amongst themselves and handed the man money through the fence, telling him to keep going. Then they walked back inside. The man continued to talk to Andy for a time, but left. About half an hour later he returned, asking to speak to Andy again. Andy shared the gospel with him and the man left with thanks, saying he would think on it! God’s Word never returns void.

A woman brought her second-trimester daughter Leilani to kill her grandchild. They did not stay inside the building, but left and returned several times throughout the day. We spoke to them each time. They were rude at first, kind next, then willing to read our brochures. Finally, near the end of the day after the abortionist Randall Whitney had been there for several hours, they came out! Leilani was in tears saying she couldn’t do it. They took information about local crisis pregnancy resources but did not want to stay and talk with us. Please pray for Leilani and her mom as they navigate the challenges ahead..

Professing Stickers

As reported by John Barros.

Some days are just miserable down here, especially when professing believers come to kill their babies. Today in this blistering heat we had the usual people with their Z88.3 Christian radio bumper stickers, a father out crying and begging for prayer who claimed to be a Christian that has been fornicating with a nonbeliever for seven months and now finds himself trying to talk her out of killing his child to no avail.

But worst of all there is a new clinic worker who drove in with a Choose Life license plate! Just when you think you’ve seen it all…

The Work Continues

As reported by John Barros.

It has been so busy down here I can’t keep up with posts.

Friday it was slow with only eight showing up. Two chose life. I can’t thank God enough for Beth Goble. She is so faithful and has such a huge heart. The first picture is her calling out to a young lady whose mother and boyfriend had brought for an abortion. They stood out there in the “valley of decision” for probably an hour, hearing calls from Beth, Bryan, and myself. They went inside during the preaching but she didn’t last two minutes. She came out moaning and sobbing over her conviction saying she couldn’t do it and they left. That has been happening a lot lately.

Last week a lady parked out front and went inside. She came out wailing and screaming about the death she felt inside and all the poor babies that were going to die that day. She sat in her car for about a half hour unable to do anything, and then she left.

Another lady Beth talked to chose life, went to a crisis pregnancy center, and found out she wasn’t pregnant.

The father of all lies lives down here and it still continues to amaze me how the clinic workers believe they are Christians. One of them just added a new Jesus sticker to her car.

Then there is Bryan McDaniel who so faithfully ministers down here. God is doing a mighty work in his life!

Go out to the abortion clinic in your town; watch Jesus work and see what He will show you. It’s certainly not us; we can’t do things like this!.

Divine Appointments

As reported by John Barros.

I stand amazed at the sweet mercy, compassion, and love Jesus shows us. Two precious ladies chose life today.

Sharlene and her boyfriend chose life and she will be followed up with by one of the nurses next door in Dr. Collins’ office.

Then a young lady named Loraina came down unable to speak any English. Bryan, Rachel and I were hopeless. We were able to get Annette from Corpus Christi on the phone and after a lengthy conversation she chose life as well! Annette will be following up with her. Rachel Whited Smith is so awesome: she took Loraina to Choices, stayed with her all day, and took her home.

God is so good and puts just the right people in place to deal with others. Thank You, Jesus!.
