New Co-Laborers

As told by John Barros:
It was quite a different day down at OWC today. Appointments were late and the abortionist didn’t even show up till after 4:00. It is  great when this happens because God gives more time for the ladies to think. Thank God Jovan chose life about half an hour before Randall got there.
Today was such a special blessing. God sent down some wonderful sisters I never knew I had. The ladies from North West Church came down to help and encourage. They are so awesome. True prayer warriors, and each and every one of them are hearts with feet. Amazing women; I am so thankful!
I know by seeing posts that it seems there are always people here with me, but 80% of the time I’m alone and the last couple of weeks have been scarce. These ladies are just what the doctor ordered. Their whole church is fighting for life in many ways and have now come to the sidewalk. They will be back.

Unimagined Horrors

As told by John Barros:

Today there were only five that came down to OWC. A mother and her 14-year-old daughter chose life. That was joyful but today the horrors of abortion were brought once again to life on a personal scale.

In the last week I have seen the results of three botched abortions on women. Last week a lady came who had an abortion a month ago. She said Randall didn’t get all of the baby out and it had continued to grow inside her womb. She was a mess and she went through the same procedure again.

Monday a young lady named Gerta came by and told me she had an abortion and now has something called an incompetent uterus. She didn’t know it until at 28 weeks she woke up with her baby’s leg coming out of her. She had to watch her baby struggle until she died. She lost another one also.

Then today Chris came back. She had an abortion two weeks ago and was having major problems. We had spent hours talking before she went in for her abortion. When she came back today she said that everything I told her would happen was happening. She sat and talked with me once again as she was waiting to be seen. We went through the Gospel but it still seemed veiled to her (2 Cor 4). She went in and when she came back out she was a total mess. They had to do the whole thing all over again and this time since she drove herself it had to be done without any sedation. She was crying while the abortion was going on and Randall was yelling and cursing at her while he was doing it.

I cannot begin to tell folks what this place is like. Unimagined horrors go on here. Please pray that God would bring these ladies to repentance. I don’t like posting about the negative stuff but seeing the ones God saves is only half the story..

Choosing Life

As told by John Barros:

God did a couple of amazing things at OWC today. A guy became a man today and led his lady out of there and went to a CPC.

Then a lady I know very well who works inside another abortion clinic in town called me. She had a young lady named Shannon inside her counseling room. Shannon was beginning to think of keeping her baby. They wanted to know what to do. She ended up choosing life and is going to a crisis pregnancy center.

Please pray for Shannon; she already has a three-month-old. And pray my friend would once and for all get out of this hellish work!.

Singing at the Gates of Hell

As told by John Barros:

It is always a blessing when the kids from Reformation Bible College come down to OWC. They come to not only speak and call out to those going inside but also to sing hymns to their God. They will sing a couple of hymns and then someone will preach in between.

This drives the guys crazy because the ladies they have brought begin to soften. The guys will come out yelling and screaming for them to stop singing. The Lord inhabits the praises of His people. I wish my camera could do justice to how beautiful the singing really is….

A life saved today.

As reported by John Barros:

Wonderful but exhausting day of ministering for Jesus down here today… First thing this morning a couple came, but God moved    mightily in their hearts. 1374096_10202198534113181_867761600_nThey have a three month old and couldn’t see how they could have another one  so  soon.  After much conversation and prayer God opened their eyes and hearts… She broke down and he    stepped up to be something we rarely see down here: A Man.  Many friends showed up, the Word was  preached and songs went forth to our King…. Awesome.  Please pray for Samantha and Ben, they went to  a  Crisis  Pregnancy Center and are getting the help they need.1391998_10202198535273210_127045154_n

What a day.

As reported by John Barros:

Today was one of those days you wish you did not see.  Ministered with Sarah and Bryan today on late term day… There was one lady that left, and her man said they were going to a Crisis Pregnancy Center.  But sadly the 22 week couple from Monday came back and would not listen. It’s always much more difficult to watch people go in that you spend time and pray with.  To see them looking out the windows as you Preach… The stuff nightmares are made of.

The young lady with her Father and Grandfather.

There was also a Grandfather and Father that brought their late term  daughter down.   The father had no I.D. so he sat outside pacing like a caged animal cursing  and screaming all day long.  I believe they are sending all the ladies home after beginning the  abortions now… I think the videos of the girls marching out back have stopped that.  This    young lady told her Dad they started it and she would have to come back tomorrow.  Labor    began hitting her hard outside while waiting for their cab… She buckled in pain and had to be   helped to the cab by her Father and Grandfather.   I can’t imagine what all these people are going through tonight.  Please continue to pray.

A great day.

As reported by John Barros:

Today was wonderful…. When the young people from Reformation Bible College come down things happen.  1382432_10202151768344066_2036625058_n

The abortionist aerobic pilot Kathy Hirsh came back to work.  Two ladies chose life and we took a young lady to Choices, where she will be getting the help she needs.  We even had a visit from baby Victoria to get us focused.   526954_10202151776304265_159753098_n

But the most amazing thing happened here today… The Reformation Bible College kids love to sing and are they ever good.  They began singing hymns and people started changing… Girls inside were crying causing the guys that brought them to come out screaming to stop.  It was quite amazing.  God does inhabit the praises of His people.  The enemy was scurrying around in chaos and it was coming out of the mouths of the guys.  Some that were there for checkups were encouraged to repent as they left and they were in tears.  Praise God!.

Jasmine’s Story

As told by John Barros on September 24:

I was listening to R.C. Sproul this morning on the way down. He was speaking about Isaiah chapter six. He expounded upon vs 8 and 9, stating God sends those He saves. I couldn’t help thinking about dear Jasmine who had a little extra time yesterday. She came down and called out to the ladies inside waiting for their abortion. She cried aloud as she told them about the danger they are in, what God has done for her and her family since she trusted Him, and how precious Jesus is.

God is so amazingly wonderful!! His mercies endure forever.

One married couple went to first life but four went through with it. It was another day with fewer clients than workers. Please continue to pray these guys go down but until then that God pulls more “Jasmines” out of the fire.

True Life Choice created a video that tells Jasmine’s story. Take a few minutes to watch and celebrate the goodness of the Lord with us!

Blinded to the Truth

As told by John Barros:
Today was incredibly difficult down at OWC. It was so very busy. The people were outside all day and heard everything possible. Warnings about their record, warnings about what God thinks about abortion, warnings about consequences. Told about every other option possible, showed them how God cared enough and showed great grace by sending them a messenger of hope.
The crazy thing is that they all listened all day long. Many came over and sat on the wall asking questions and asking for prayer. Tears were shed but the veil was not lifted, scales were not removed from eyes, and none received new hearts or repentance. I have never had so many one-on-one in-depth conversations without God opening somebody’s eyes. The blindness was so incredible.
Christiana came today with her daughter, to give her a ride home. I asked her daughter why she thought it was okay for her mother to kill her brother or sister. She said she already had one. Christiana sat on the wall for an hour. She told me she wanted her daughter to be her driver so she can see how horrible this is and learn from her mother’s mistakes. We went through everything. We prayed together and she said she wished she could have faith. She went through with it.
There was another girl who had an abortion six weeks ago. They didn’t suck all of the baby out and her baby was still inside growing so she was back. It was amazing to see God’s Law working on their hearts but not coming to repentance and faith. Every one of them knew they were killing their babies.
I thought of 2 Timothy 2:25-26– them being blinded and in the snare of the devil and about Pastor Burk’s sermon Sunday night from 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; how God has not given the light of the Gospel to the world. How He has used Satan to blind them. All I could do was cry. It was so awful. You build a bond when you work with folks who are at the edge of the gates of hell. I don’t want to see them go through what they will. Please pray for all these folks.
I am so thankful Saperna was able to stop by for a bit.

Deep Discount Coupon Day

As told by John Barros:

Today was one of the craziest days down at OWC. It was deep discount coupon day. People were screaming the most unbelievable things. One girl was screaming how happy she was for sending her baby to hell.

Two ladies chose life but there were over 20 who didn’t make it.

Beth, Bryan, and the RBC girls hung in there and fought like warriors in word and prayer.
