Hard Day

As told by John Barros:

Today was one of those days where it feels like even a shower won’t get you clean.

There were 10-15 who came but the worst thing was that three were professing Christians. One from Calvary Chapel Melbourne with a Z88.3 bumper sticker said it was okay to kill her baby because God took her other baby.

Then we had a couple of ladies who had I Love All Saints Academy and Episcopalian Prep School stickers on their car.

Then a lady with a “clergy” license plate came. We thought she was here only to support a friend but to our horror she had an abortion as well.

It was pretty crazy but there were a couple of rays of light. One young lady left and was thanking Bryan McDaniel ever so sweetly for being there. Said she was going to First Life.

The other ray was that Allura Lightfoot came by. She was in the area helping some folks and came by to encourage and help.

Busy Saturday

As told by John Barros:

Saturdays have been slow for a while but not today. It got pretty darn busy but God who is rich in mercy opened the eyes of two young ladies who chose life and one who turned away.

I got to minister with my dear sister Patte Smith for a little while this morning. That is always a pleasure. Scott was here as well, as were Heather and her kids.

God is so good..

Black Friday

As told by John Barros:

People were lining up outside before 9:00am for the Black Friday sale at OWC.

God is so good. Today people were coming with their coupons on Black Friday to get their discounted abortions. It seemed like it was going to be a very dark day indeed but you all prayed and God answered in such a wonderful way!

Eight people came and four left. It was awesome to see half the people walk out. Three chose life and the fourth was a “turnaway” who said she may still do it. It is so cool to see a mother bring her daughter, be faced with who she is and what she is doing in the light of Gods Word, come out during the preaching with her daughter, saying over and over again ” Thank you, thank you!”

These folks were so angry and mean but God opened eyes and softened hearts. It was so amazing. Bradley got to preach for the first time. Nicole and the RBC kids ministered to Hope and Aryanna.

God brought light to some very dark hearts here on Black Friday. Thanks for praying and please continue to pray for these ladies..

Day Before Thanksgiving

As told by John Barros:

I can’t begin to thank all of you who prayed today. It was pretty crazy. By the end of the day 17 had come to have abortions. It was quite a battle indeed. One sad note is that Dr. Scott Hyde who quit some time back showed up for a bit.

Jesse came in the afternoon along with Tiffany and Jay. There ended up being two who chose life and one that we didn’t get to talk or pray with. One of the couples was so happy when we clapped for their decision. Then Dear Dr. Collins came out and brought us lunch.

Thanks again for praying; don’t think I will let my pride get in the way of asking again. I am so very thankful for you all. Have yourself an awesome day of Thanksgiving..

An Evil in All That is Done Under the Sun

As told by John Barros:

The signs on the cars should pretty much let you know what the crowd was like here today (Ecclesiastes 9:3). The abortionist Randal Whitney pulled in at 9:00 and said, “Yep gotta make room for the holidays.”

We were lectured by folks all day on how God either doesn’t exist or He forgives anything and all sin is the same. We had people come down to “help” saying God loves everyone and all the babies go to heaven anyway. Professing Christians saying God told them it was okay to abort their babies and He would give them back when their situation is better.

I don’t know if I have a heightened sense of evil during the holidays, but the people always seem to be a lot more vile during this time. Besides telling them what God thinks of this and the hope there is in Him, we told them that the rest of their lives at Thanksgiving they will know there should be another chair at the table. They don’t care.

It is tough when you see the blindness of man’s heart bring so much devastation. I wish there was better news today..

Students of Reformation Bible College

As told by John Barros:

This is a picture of Reformation Bible College. There really is no place like it on earth.

The kids who go here get the best possible education there is, but the huge difference I see is that they take what they learn in school and bring it to the street. These pictures are just a normal day down here. These kids leave a campus that is the closest thing there is to heaven and come to the gates of hell to bring the gospel and the love of Christ to the lost.

They stand up to days of persecution in many forms with hearts broken for the people they are there to save. Today they prayed with a girl who “chose life,” only to watch her go in to get her ID and not come back out. They were screamed and cursed at. People came out screaming “Another one bites the dust” after having their abortion, and pretty much every other thing that can be said.

The students hung in and fought the good fight. They were able to lead a mother and her daughter out, and minister to a young lady who made a profession of faith Thursday. They were able to again clarify the gospel to her. Now Mia, her husband, and little daughter will be coming to Saint Andrew’s on Sunday.

Such was the day today. I just want folks to see what these students do. They are buried in homework but serving both their King and neighbors. I so don’t deserve to even know these kids, much less serve with them. God is so good. If any of you have ever thought of going to a Bible college, this is the place to be. There is such love in this place..

The Insanity Continues

As told by John Barros:

The insanity continues down at OWC. I haven’t seen a week like this in a long time.

There was a detective who brought a lady much younger than him down here and he was ticked. He hated the message and didn’t like being shown to be the coward he is. Then we had families showing up together with little children.

Then a lady came and sat in “my office” (actually my wall) and read her Bible as she sent her daughter in to kill her baby. I spent hours going through the gospel and what God thinks of this with them to no avail.

And of course Thursday just wouldn’t be complete without the people coming to pick up the dead babies. Some days you come home and take a shower and it just doesn’t get you clean, no matter how long you wash.

I wish there were two Lord’s days. When these days happen I just long to worship at Saint Andrew’s.

There was good news, though. Two ladies chose life. Alisha is 18 weeks along. She was so hard and angry but God had her come talk. She let me pray for her and He touched that hard heart and the tears were flowing. It was beautiful. I also got to speak with a lady named Mia. We had a great talk and she wants me to pick her up on Sunday to go to Saint Andrew’s.

The crew down here helping today were Hope and Sarah, two brand new baby Christians.

God is so good… even little Aryanna was a prayer warrior today.

Crazy Days

As told by John Barros:

Ecclesiastes 9:3 was on full display down here today. It was very busy with 20+ down here to kill their babies.

The craziness was really weird. Clients were fighting with workers. One big lady was going to beat Teria up in the driveway. People were mocking and screaming, trying everything to stop the preaching.

But the main thing that continues to drive them crazy is the singing of hymns. Guys come out begging us to stop because it is upsetting everyone inside. That doesn’t work so they bring cars up front to blast gangster rap to try to drown out “Jesus What A Friend For Sinners”. They threaten to pull out their 45’s. It really is amazing when hell is confronted with heaven!

There was great news though. Hope, who has made a profession of faith, got her new Bible today and continues to devour God’s Word.

Two ladies chose life. One I was worried about but the CPC called to tell me she definitely had.

A daughter of a nurse who works on this street also came to OWC. Her mother was told and oh man did that get ugly. She took a brochure and assured her mother she would go to Choices. Another precious sister called and said she was in contact with a young lady who was 24 weeks pregnant and was going to come down here. We got her in touch with a CPC and will be going there tomorrow morning.

It gets completely nuts down here some days. There is so much to pray for..

Give Them Time

As told by John Barros:

Elsie sent me a message thanking and encouraging for being at OWC on Saturday. She said after we left a mother came out with her daughter, crying and thankful as they chose life.

I’m posting this to encourage others not to leave the clinics where they minister. Many people come down to minister at what they call “killing times”. Then after a couple hours they leave, with some doing a ritual they call “wiping the dust off their feet”.

If we look at the state these people are in–blind, hard, afraid, caught in a trap, and lost. They have made up their minds to do this. They run into us having no idea who we are other than someone getting in the way of them doing what they want. We give them God’s word and it takes time. I would say 90% of the ones who have their hearts turned by God come out hours from first initiation.

I know many can’t but please stay all day if you can. If you are not able to, try to have another shift come in later. God does His work through His word and His people. Let’s be there for those who need help..

Bargain Prices for Killing

As told by John Barros:

Yesterday was a very busy day down here. The lure of a bargain through their coupon program is tough. Even when you tell them why they need to have coupons it falls mostly on deaf ears.

I am so very thankful that Sarah Woodruff from Reformation Bible College came down and ministered all day. She is such a godly young lady. Every time she comes down I see how much I need to grow.

A woman that I have seen bring several girls down in the past showed up with another young couple. She ended up telling Sarah that she is a detective. She had a bunch of papers with her. After several hours the couple did not go through with the abortion. The vile young man was pretty upset.

I don’t know what’s going on down here but police have been in and out many times in the last couple of weeks. Keep praying!.
