Blessed by the Family of our King

As told by John Barros:

Well today went much better on many different levels. Only four came today for abortions and two left. One lasted about ten minutes inside and one never made it in the door.

God is so good. Pray they stay strong. When things happen that quickly you just wonder. So Orlando Women’s Center had seven employees and an abortionist here today for two ladies. It has to be a big loss for them.

Ursula and Steve were here in the morning, and then Sarah Ulrich volunteered at Choices. She came by to encourage and bring me a sandwich she had made. I am so blessed. I don’t deserve brothers and sisters like this. There is nothing like the family of our King!

The End of a Long Battle

As told by John Barros:

The girl in this video fought two grown men for two days. They brought her in and out of Orlando Womens Center. She chose life three times and was subjected to the men’s screams and pressure in the backseat of her car.

They came back with her this afternoon and she never came back out.

At one point while calling out to her she peeked out the blinds and I will never get this out of my mind. Randal comes up at the end of this video. I really don’t even want to post a video like this but this is abortion in America, folks. It isn’t “the local cheerleader who got pregnant by the quarterback”. There is a crazy evil down here all the time.

Forced Girl Returns

As told by John Barros:

Please pray again. Those guys returned with that girl trying once again to force her to abort her baby. She again chose life and they left. I begged her to come to me but they hurried her away.

If any of my friends at the other clinics could please call the police if they show up and you see this car. She does not want to do this. It seems like a possible sex trade situation but I don’t know.

[Later same day edit]

I know it’s starting to seem like the series 24 down here, but they’ve brought her back again

Hard Times and Unexpected Encouragement

As told by John Barros:

The craziness was unbelievable down here today. Here is a picture of the young lady for whom I asked for prayer on Facebook earlier today, who stood strong against the men with her trying to force her into having an abortion. I am asking my friends at other clinics to keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks. I am so proud of her she stood against unbelievable screaming and pressure.

There was other good news: a young lady named Kenya chose life and is headed to all the help she needs. Bradley Spruill worked so hard. A lady who brought her daughter and was so vile in the morning came under heavy conviction and ended up trying to talk her daughter out of it. She came out in tears and prayed with Bradley. Patricia Sullivan read the post from earlier and came down to pray. She is one special lady.

Then a lady pulled up, came over, and stood next to me staring as I preached. I asked if there was something I could do for her, thinking she was going to tell me I shouldn’t be there or something. Instead she said, “I want to thank you for making me a grandmother.” I was stunned at first, but she went on to say that her daughter Lauren was going to have an abortion but chose life several months ago. Lauren took materials sending her to Daria at Choices. She received an ultrasound and help from them. Christine said she didn’t know about all this at the time, and just wanted to come by and say thank you.

You know that is thanks to all of you who support the ministry down here in prayer. It truly is not me; it is God and the prayers of His saints. It was an extreme emotional roller coaster down here, but God is so faithful to send encouragement. God bless you all..

Bringing Beauty

As told by John Barros:

Today was such a beautiful day down here. Bradley Spruill and Tanner Johnson from Reformation Bible College came down to minister.

God in His great mercy opened the eyes of three ladies and gave them the faith to trust Him. There was warfare going on in the hearts of these ladies, but they are no match for the Prince of Peace. All three ended up rejoicing with tears and hearts of thanksgiving. Two of them went to Choices and one went to First Life. Please pray that Jesus would strengthen and provide for Sheena, Tonya, and Margarette. It is so amazing to watch God work and see those faces shine when they submit to His will. There were two others who turned away as well but we didn’t get to pray with them.

Tanner is a Sacred Music student at Reformation Bible College and plays violin in the Saint Andrew’s Sinfonia at Saint Andrew’s Chapel. He played to bring some beauty against the darkness and death inside. You can see the people looking out the windows while he is playing.

Pray that the last three who were inside had seeds planted in their hearts. I am so very thankful for Bradley and Tanner. They have such hearts for God..

Hugs, Thanks, and a Police Report

As told by John Barros:

God is so good. I was blessed to spend the day with Bradley Spruill from Reformation Bible College. We were able to see God turn the hearts of two different ladies today. The first ones wrestled by their car with the decision and they finally left, but please pray that they stay away.

Then somebody called the police when I started preaching. The police were filling out a report when a young lady named Jaqueline and her friend Shanti came out clapping and saying that they chose life. It’s always nice when the police are filling out a report on how “mean and nasty” you are, and a young lady is hugging you and thanking you for being there! Please pray for Jacqueline; she is going to a local crisis pregnancy center.

The Latest “Stephen King” Moment

As told by John Barros:

I know all my friends up north will laugh, but it is bitter cold down here in Florida. I am so thankful Beth Goble brought her daughters down to freeze with us.

God has been so good at OWC bringing in the new year. There are several wonderful things going on and three ladies have chosen life.

The latest “Stephen King moment” happened today when the abortionist Randal Whitney pulled up to the wall, rolled down his window, and said he hoped I had a great Christmas. He told me he spent his in Sonoma County, California going to all the wineries. He said he drank so much wine that it’s still sloshing around in his belly. Then he told me he hopes I have a great year. It left me speechless, which doesn’t happen very often..

Video: Mia is Overcome

As told by John Barros:

Yesterday was the last day abortions would be happening at OWC for 2013. It has been a crazy year down here but this video kind of sums up this year. Mia has become a brand new Believer down here and has seen God transform her heart and every other area of her life.

She was overcome yesterday by the number of people coming for abortions and the hardness of their hearts. She asked if she could read one of the 180 tracts and then she was overcome with pain and began begging them to not do what she had done years earlier. So much pain and sorrow began pouring out of her heart.

A lady who was walking by saw Mia’s pain and tried to console her but had to leave in tears. Mia attends Saint Andrew’s Chapel now, and will be going to the post-abortion Bible study group to get help with her pain.

We were able to go through 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” and 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

This is a capsule, if you will, of the ministry down here. There is so much pain, sorrow, and death, “But God who is rich in Mercy…” (Ephesians 2:4-10). God continues to show mercy and grace to so many down here. I am so glad 2013 is over. Close to 100 of these hell holes have shut down around the country this year, praise God!

Please pray that this one will close permanently in 2014. Please pray for Mia and the others the Lord has brought through here.

Good News

As told by John Barros:

Even in the midst of cowardly guys coaxing and “supporting” their late-term ladies to press on through abortions that were started yesterday, there is good news.

People who heard the Good News chose life. Two babies were given the opportunity to come out. One was a guy who was flipping me and Beth off and saying horrible things. When they came out they couldn’t move fast enough and didn’t even stop to take their licenses.

A lady from First Life came by to tell me they will be open on Saturdays beginning in January with ultrasounds and all services.

Another friend of mine, a clinic worker, has finally made the move to get help and get out of here! I have shared the gospel with her and several others for years. It is very difficult it is for these workers to break away; I have only been part of two leaving in the past (and one of those returned). God’s Word and Spirit are working in this lady’s life in a big way. I can’t get into what has been going on, but knowing I have done what I have been gifted to do and needing to get her help that I cannot provide, I sent her to Daria at True Life Choice. Things are really moving now and would ask that you continue to pray. There are others who want to leave as well. Please pray for all these folks!.

Hardened Hearts at Christmas

As told by John Barros:

It was pretty darn busy down at OWC today. The people were so hardened. You would think being Christmas time they would be softer. Thanks for praying.

Some of my heroes came by today. Amanda Sprague brought little eleven-year-old Jonah and his littler sister Selah down to help. Jonah was as bold as David was against Goliath. It drove one guy crazy. He wanted Jonah to stop, but he wouldn’t.

Then Dana and Savannah Brenyo brought two-week-old Jonathan down. God’s timing is amazing. A young lady named Brittany came down needing prayer for her brand new baby that is in Winnie Palmer Hospital. They were really able to minister to her.

It was a dark day but God shined a light in one young lady who chose life..
