Abortion is Never Really Over

As told by John Barros:

So you come down to Orlando, from Washington, to visit your daughters at Reformation Bible College with your whole family.  What do you do?  Do you go to Disney or Universal? Not if you are Gary Woodroof: you come serve your God on the sidewalks at OWC.  Gary is a worship Pastor in Washington State.  He brought his daughter Emily to serve with Jessica.  What an unbelievable pleasure this was.  Such singing and harmonies; I wish they would never have stopped.  10352342_10204742299345722_7719528694412684695_n What a family these folks are; so much love.  Their other daughter, Sarah, had school today at RBC, but will be down on Friday and hopefully they will all return.

Also got to serve with Bonnie today.  We had one choose life but is confused.  Please pray she stays strong.  We also had a turn away and then a lady showed up with so much anger.  She had an abortion here seventeen years ago; she said it was done by James Pendergraft.  According to her, he messed her up inside.  She was trying to get records but they say that they don’t have them anymore.  Then she began showing the anger and pain that she has been carrying all these years.  Bonnie and I got to speak with her and gave her a local CPC to contact to help her deal with the pain.  We had a time of prayer with her and she left.

Abortion is never really over.  This lady has been carrying it all these years and then it bursts to the surface one day.  One of the biggest lies they tell the ladies down here is that it will be over today.  Please pray for her.  10612534_10204742299025714_1147372798713768700_n.

Strange Day

As told by John Barros:

Such a strange day; had a few things happen that I have not seen before.  One young lady was extremely angry that we were there and called the police before the doors even opened and a police officer came down.  He went up to speak with the girl and told her that we had every right to be there, but then he began to encourage them to have the abortions.  He told them, “We all make mistakes and you can just ask for forgiveness. That’s what they don’t understand.”  10639592_10204692923791364_376385029578035251_n  I don’t know why but I was shocked to see this.  It’s bad enough to know the state sanctions abortion and protects abortionists but to have them actively encourage people coming to kill their babies is a bit much.

Randall Whitney pulled in today honking and waving.  He got out of his car and said, “Good morning!  Looks like we have a full house, thank you!”

Some pretty angry hateful people down there today.  It was like the police officer pumped them up.  Sarah, ND, and Bradley came down from RBC.  ND preached again for his second time and he is really doing a great job.  Beth and Bradley are rocks and Sarah worked with a man and his daughter.  They ended up choosing life and left thankfully but I had never run into people like this.  They are Christian Science; they don’t believe in medical help and will die before getting medical help, but they were willing to come for this kind of medical help?  Nothing ever makes sense down here.1896895_10204692926191424_6379046571916170353_n.

Warren

As told by John Barros:

Got to serve today with my friend Warren today.  He normally serves in Lakeland, but comes here on Thursdays.  Today was pretty busy but God did some wonderful things. There were a couple of people that left, and hopefully will stay away. 10592780_10204676320536293_2324922753425407432_n  Gilbert and Rose came, but God turned their precious hearts.  They were so thankful and it was truly a joy praying with them.  Lately I have seen so many ladies come saying they have to kill their babies because they don’t want to be tied to their baby’s Dad for twenty years; today there were three ladies that told me this.  One lady was named Tracy.  She told us she didn’t want to be with the jerk of a boyfriend she is with; she also said she had no feelings for her baby.  After going through the Word and having a time of prayer she began to weep.  When it comes to dealing with God she wasn’t as tough as she thought.  She really is a sweet young lady.  Please pray for her, she chose life and never went inside. She is going to a Crisis Pregnancy Center.  Her boyfriend wants the baby as well but she doesn’t want him.

Had some great news the young couple from yesterday that went to Choices for counseling.  They reaffirmed that they have chosen to keep their baby and have set more appointments.  Please continue to pray for all these folks and the ministry down here. Thank you. 10653442_10204676319896277_732101462126297349_n.

No Day is Ever the Same

As told by John Barros:

No day is ever the same down here.  Several of the RBC kids came down and helped out in the morning. Jesse, Jessica, Bonnie and Delaney have filtered back in from serving in many different missions/ministries over the Summer.  Bonnie even served all the way in New Guinea.  So eternally thankful for these young people.10650009_10204667968567499_4622012267091905658_n

God turned the heart of one young couple and they left to get help.  So much going on with so many down here today.  Please continue to pray. .

David

As told by John Barros:

Today was pretty awful.  There were a couple people that turned away, but they wouldn’t stop and talk so I don’t know why they left.  A dozen babies died today.

The light of the day is David.  David and his lady have been coming by almost everyday.  They are responding very well to the Gospel and have many questions; they are going to be coming to St. Andrew’s on Sunday.  Today David became absolutely overwhelmed by what was going on here.  He begged me to take my sign and show everyone.  Then he went up and down the street and stood on the corners.  He told me that he stands in front of businesses holding and spinning signs.  He said, “Can I please hold a sign for God?” Please pray for them, they are an awesome couple. 1902901_10204653543926892_5199750161334727077_n.

Blessed

As told by John Barros:

One of the greatest blessings I could ever have imagined is training and serving with the kids at Reformation Bible College.  There are no kids like these anywhere.  The first semester they ever had, R.C. Sproul Jr. sent me a text saying he was sending me his kids.  This literally revolutionized my life. 10606597_10204631930986582_3899700251469023327_n  School started again this week and they have been coming back!  Today Jessica and Sarah came back and within minutes were involved in a life and death battle fighting for a baby’s life.  Praise God He turned the heart of Rachel.  She stood against her boyfriend and I’m telling you she is so thankful!   We had a wonderful time of prayer; it was beautiful.10410875_10204631929986557_1194870106253913101_n   Another couple left as well when a man stood up to protect his baby.  His girl wasn’t too happy but he took her out.  Jackie’s Mom and Grandmother brought her back forcing her to kill her baby, but for the third day in a row she stood firm.  All she has to do is tell a worker she doesn’t want to do it and they can’t.  Her mom left angry and asked if they were open tomorrow.

It was crazy today but we had great times of worship and prayer.  Andrea stopped by with her friends from OHOP to pray.  They come faithfully on Fridays.  A dear young lady stopped by and blessed me; she said God told her to.  Then there is ND.  He is a first year student that loves sharing the Gospel.  He is another young man that decided in part to come to RBC because he watched the videos online of students ministering down here. He had never open air preached before today but you would never have known it.  What a dear brother he is, and I’m look forward to serving with him for many years….so glad school is back in session!10624852_10204631930626573_5858753961576808131_n.

Jackie

As told by John Barros:

Today was kind of different: the people arriving were cold and just seemed indifferent.  God turned the hearts of two young ladies and there was a turn away.  The two that chose life came out proudly with their ultrasound pictures.  One was going to go to First Life for help and the other is an ongoing drama down here.  Here’s the story: yesterday sixteen- year-old Jackie chose life and stood up to her Mother who wanted her to abort her baby.  Today like other times when parents pressure their kids, they came back.  They went inside and after a while the Mother left.  A couple hours later Jackie came out with her ultrasound pictures all alone.  She came over with the pics and said, “This is my baby. I want my baby; don’t I have a choice?”  10603229_10204625425623952_2889825798929416735_n  We told her of course she does, and we prayed with her and she called an Aunt to help her.  Please pray for her.  I really had a hard time down there today.  At first I thought it was the heat but it’s this girl.  I’m a member of St. Andrew’s and I know so many wonderful families.  Not one of them is screaming at and pressuring their children to kill their babies tonight.

There is a special charisma to this young girl.  Please pray that someone in her family would help her..

God is Good

As told by John Barros:

Well we had a couple of surprises today down here today.  One of our pastors, Don Bailey, came down to serve with us.  Pastor Don worked and prayed with us, and he was able to see God turn the heart of a young lady.  She stood up to an extremely angry Mom. Pastor Bailey is such a blessing. 10460325_10204617295980716_1517053798105432183_nThen a couple of dear friends, Tom and Sara Donkin came by from Lexington, Kentucky to serve.  They are such a blessing as well.  Everyone worked tirelessly today, in ninety-six degree heat.10599207_10204617299940815_4148362938619635858_n

God really moved on hearts today and a total of three ladies chose life.  One was an atheist that stood outside cursing the preaching, conversations, and God Himself half the day.  Amazingly God crushed her hard heart and she chose life against the wishes of her extremely angry boyfriend; it was truly unbelievable.  Then a young Hispanic late term lady chose life.  Her and her boyfriend had their hearts opened.

Then the Mother of the young girl that had decided to keep her baby from this morning came back with the girl’s Aunt.  They were there to get the young lady to go through with it.  Daylan was able to give a clear presentation of the Gospel to the Aunt.  She came to realize she wasn’t a believer.  Thankfully it was then too late in the day for the girl to have an abortion.  Please pray that God continues to work in that family and that they don’t return.  God is so good. 10492224_10204617296620732_4914491713308321060_n.

God is at Work

As told by John Barros:

Today was a good day.  God put together a wonderful team; so thankful for my brothers and sisters at St. Andrew’s and Reformation Bible College. 10565135_10204602360527339_8232633175487939345_nHad a couple of folks here for the first time. A lady named Jennifer has wanted to come down but was very nervous about it.  She said her background would have been protesting against us.  But she’s is a natural, with a heart filled with compassion and love for her neighbor.  Evan Sarnicki came with his Mother and was doing a combination of math and ministry.  10441141_10204602358087278_1185028653605908814_n  God turned the hearts of two young ladies today.  One of which said, “We are leaving and will not be back!”   There were also a couple of turn aways as well.  Please continue to pray for us down here….God is at work..

Update on Ann

As told by John Barros:

For those of you that have been praying for Ann, please continue.  I just received some exciting news from Wanda that Ann is not having twins: the Lord has blessed her with triplets!!!  Ann is getting awesome help from Wanda and the folks at her local crisis pregnancy center, but I think we are going to have to get busy to help this brave young lady.  Praise the Lord!1972516_10204422034499301_4474905794088487424_n.
