End Abortion Now

As told by John Barros:

I am having an extremely difficult time trying to come up with words to explain the #endabortionnow Conference. What a Blessing Jeff, Luke, Zachary, Marcus, Joy, Zack, and others have been by putting this together. It would take days to cover all the blessings of meeting so many brothers and sisters. I won’t even try but I will give a couple of wonderful statistics:

200 Pastors leaders and soldiers came to this conference from 28 different states. Zack Morgan has started full-time ministrty here and I met three other men that have now started full-time ministry at the abortion mills in their different cities. When asked how many people had not been to an abortion mill before 30-40 people rose their hands. As you can imagine this was an amazingly special time.

The speakers were incredible. Jeff was incredible. Rusty brought truth with fire, and the Lord showed His heart through Jon. Sherrie was so dear.

Apologia Church is the real thing. They want to equip the Church to end abortion now. Speak to the Pastor at your Church. Apologia has start up packs with everything from tracts, brochures, and signs to get you started.

I am so unbelievably blessed to see so many young people joining the battle. Go to ENDABORTIONNOW.COM to get started.

Ministry and God’s Sovereignty

As told by John Barros:

I’ve been trying so hard to sort through all that has happened in Phoenix this week. It’s going to take a long time. I know one thing though, I will never be the same.

Apologia Church is wonderful. I have no idea how they are doing all that they are. Evangelizing, discipleship, church planting, abortion ministry, ministry to Mormons, and that’s not all. I was so honored to have Jeff, Luke, and Marcus, invite me out.

They wanted to learn things from me but I’ll tell you what, I think they got the short end of the stick. I learned so much from them. It was awesome to serve with them on the front lines. The folks out here are so gifted at engaging people and bringing the Gospel to them while breaking down arguments.

Even though there is definitely a huge age difference I felt like I was 30 again with this bunch.

So many different people in this church. A man that played Major League Baseball for years that left today for Japan because he plays ball over there now. We’ll he’s not just going for that. He is going to speak at his pastor’s church over there where his church is starting an abortion ministry in Japan.

There’s everything from folks that have been pulled off the streets to a retired NHL hockey player. It is so diverse and they are all so special.
I guess there are people that didn’t really believe they really are a church because they do so much with their radio and TV stuff but trust me they are the real deal. If you live in the Phoenix area or would be travelling through please stop by, you will be blessed: http://www.apologiachurch.com

Wonderful worship. This music ministry is special.

A precious young lady that thought she was a believer was converted and now baptized

The Lord was so good today at the Phoenix Airport. I was trying to post what happened out here this week when a female pilot by the name of Mary came and sat next to me. She began talking and asked what I do. I told her I was an Evangelist and work in front of an abortion clinic. I thought that would be the end of that but she wanted to talk about it. I went through everything and she began to get troubled. I gave her my card and she asked about the “Who Will Stand” video. I told her to check it out when she gets home. She decided to watch it right there. She began to cry.

Mary watching “Who Will Stand” with a tissue.

Then she told me how her flight had been cancelled and is heading home to Daytona. She couldn’t believe she sat by me of all places. We spoke of the Sovereignty of God and how it wasn’t by chance that she sat here. Then she said “John, what can I do?” I can’t go into all that but she will be at Orlando Women’s Center on Wednesday. God is so good.

Down in Phoenix

As told by John Barros:

Today was totally insane. There had to be hundreds of people here. I am so blessed to serve with some of the most wonderful people I have ever met. The folks from Apologia Church and several others are so gifted. I have never learned so much in one day in my life. So blessed.

There is one thing that brings sadness and it happened back in Orlando. I had an assistant in the jail. He made a profession of faith and served as my assistant for about nine months. When he got out he fell away and returned to drugs. He got arrested again for domestic violence. She left him for another guy. They have gotten back together but she is pregnant and they came to OWC today to kill the other guy’s baby. My friend Doug texted me this morning. He wanted Doug to let me know what he was doing. So insane. He would pray daily for the ministry down at OWC but then he turned up there.

Kentucky

As told by John Barros:

A few years ago I posted the picture of this young lady that was 20+ weeks pregnant. She didn’t want her twins because they were girls and she already had a girl. I asked for prayer and the picture went viral, crashing many websites. It was an ugly day but I received messages and emails from hundreds of people wanting to know how they could begin ministering at an abortion clinic.

One couple, Jocelyn and Brandon Acuff, were among those who contacted me. I gave them what advice I had and sent them to Patte Smith and Lisa Metzger, who helped them on a massive scale. The people from this group got together and sent me a ticket to come serve with them. This group is absolutely amazing! They have such a hard place to minister– at the end of a cul-de-sac with the mill about 50 yards away on private property. They serve faithfully every day the place is open.

These folks are so beautiful. It brings me to tears seeing how they long to serve God and the people who come here. Its amazing to see how the Lord used one picture to get this ministry going. There wasn’t nearly enough time to spend there and I can’t wait to get back. If you have been wanting to begin serving at your clinic I would highly suggest you get ahold of Jocelyn Acuff, Erika Calihan, and the group. They really know what they are doing.

Fort Lauderdale

As told by John Barros:

I had a wonderful day in Fort Lauderdale. I went down to help Stacy and Erika serve in front of the Fort Lauderdale Women’s Center. We had heard that no one was serving at this clinic, but were pleasantly surprised to find about twenty other people out there. It turns out that 40 Days For Life was targeting this clinic. I can’t think of a better clinic to serve at.

There is a church right next door that helps. One of the pastors was so thankful. You can have full access to their property. You can actually be about two feet from the window at one spot.

I am looking for a retired Christian man to step up and adopt this place. He could really make a difference, and there are folks who want to serve with him. Please pray that God would raise up such a man.

I got to serve with Al Mohler’s mother today as well as various leaders of several right to life groups and some of the dearest saints you could ever want to meet. Christine LaValley saw my post on Facebook and came. It was so awesome to serve and decompress with Stacy and Erika. They have such huge hearts for Jesus and the lost.

So many of these folks are willing to serve, and a full-time witness would be easy here. Please pray this place gets covered. I’m going to do what I can with Stacy but a local man is really needed..

Never Heard the Name of Jesus

John Barros and many other faithful men traveled to New York to share the gospel during the Super Bowl Outreach. Here is just one story from their time there; see more on John’s Facebook page or YouTube channel.

This man’s name is Jun. He is here from China and has never heard the name Jesus before. He heard Evan preaching on the corner of 42nd and 7th in Times Square and was amazed at why men would be speaking about a man who is God.

He has been listening to each speaker and has befriended Jesse Stiemann from Reformation Bible College who is explaining the gospel. We are hearing questions we have never heard and he is blown away that one of the brothers gave him his own Bible.

Please pray for Jun and for all of the team as they finish up today..

Gasparilla Pirate Fest

As told by John Barros:

I had the honor of going to preach and share the gospel at the Gasparilla Pirate Fest.

Scott Smith, Ed Rivera, Don Kearns and several others invited me to go. It was wonderful.

These pictures look like chaos and there was a lot of that, but there were many opportunities for one-on-one and prayer.

Don Kearns draws a crowd like no one I have ever seen. He is such a hero to me: one of these men who goes around the world preaching every day. Please pray for him and all these guys. Scott does the same thing and will also be going to the Super Bowl Outreach this weekend in New York.

Noles4Life

As told by John Barros:

It was such a wonderful weekend. Bryan McDaniel and I went deep behind enemy lines in Tallahassee (if you are a Gator you know what I mean) to meet with a new pro life group being formed at Florida State University called Noles4Life. What an awesome bunch of brothers and sisters.

We were also able to speak at City Church, a large church that meets in a mall. The pastor is behind this group and they are extremely active in evangelism.

Then we went down to the only abortion clinic in town (yes, they were open on Sunday and busy). As God’s timing would have it there was a young lady named Latoya who was there for information. When asked what information we could give her to keep her away from here, she said “Thank God”. We got to speak to her and she asked us to pray for her. I am hoping you all will as well.

Upon seeing this the workers came out and went ballistic. Bryan and I had to head home, but Matt Ferro and Alejandro Capote hung around as the police came. Matt is the founder and president of Noles for Life. He had done his homework and had all property boundaries and other information ready for them. The police told the abortion staff Matt had every right to be there.

Please pray for these folks; they are bringing the Gospel to a new front line..
