Bible Study Needed

As told by John Barros:

Chantelle is such a lovely young lady. She did not come to OWC for an abortion. A friend sent her down to talk. We went through the gospel, which she had really never heard before. She has made a profession of faith and comes by OWC almost daily to ask so many questions about God’s Word.

Beth Goble has been meeting with her to disciple and love her. She is coming to Saint Andrew’s now. I just wanted to post this to show what God is doing in Chantelle’s life but also to ask for a lady from Saint Andrew’s who could come do a weekly Bible study in the home of one of the ladies who have come to Christ down here. There are about six that have asked me if someone could come and teach them. They love worshiping on Sunday but need more. Please message me if you are from Saint Andrew’s and are interested..

Crazier Than Usual

As told by John Barros:

I can’t say enough about these two kids. It was a pretty rough day with angry, violent people. Late-term days seem to make folks crazier than usual. Zachary and Jessica were amazing. The people were mocking as hymns were being sung and every question and false statement that was thrown their way was explained in detail. Zach and Jessica love being able to use the education they receive at Reformation Bible College down at OWC. What a blessing they are.

Anna and Mea came by for a while as well for a while to help. God bless Jared. He brought me lunch and stayed a while in the afternoon for fellowship. It was very crowded today and filled with chaos, but God turned the heart of one couple and two turn-aways. Thanks for praying..

Laying in Wait

As told by John Barros:

After some of the best few days I have ever had, the enemy was laying in wait back at OWC. I am so thankful for Pastor Burk’s sermons yesterday. They were strength to my bones. Today was one crazy attack after another. There were the usual people cursing and screaming all manner of vileness, but then a guy came who was on a different level altogether.

He screamed like a demon with death threat after death threat, then ran over and swung at me– all the while screaming unintelligibly. He went inside and after a while began screaming inside, came out and started kicking the front doors in. His lady and her father came out in disbelief and left.

Then a lady came and as I handed her a brochure she spit all over my face. A young lady who comes from down the street to serve said something to her and a brawl ensued. I got that separated but they turned on me with more death threats. I told people with me “No matter what happens, do not call the police.” Of course someone did, and six officers came.

Just like always the police turned on me, and the people who had done all this made up lies so the police did a big “investigation”. And of course the people who called the police took off. They had me fill out a report saying I would not press charges. People don’t realize that down here the police are not our friends. One told me before that if I ever got shot or stabbed they wouldnt even arrest the person based on the law that was used in the Treyvon Martin case.

Two beautiful young ladies, Gabrielle and Alexza, came down for their first time. What troopers these ladies were. They did not fear and held steadfast in prayer. Alexza even had some spit in the midst of all this. Her goal is to work in orphanages in China. She has done it and is trying to get her education finished. I was missing bluegrass friends today. Please continue to pray. Two babies got to see another day. I hope their decision holds firm and wasn’t just because of the craziness.

Kentucky

As told by John Barros:

A few years ago I posted the picture of this young lady that was 20+ weeks pregnant. She didn’t want her twins because they were girls and she already had a girl. I asked for prayer and the picture went viral, crashing many websites. It was an ugly day but I received messages and emails from hundreds of people wanting to know how they could begin ministering at an abortion clinic.

One couple, Jocelyn and Brandon Acuff, were among those who contacted me. I gave them what advice I had and sent them to Patte Smith and Lisa Metzger, who helped them on a massive scale. The people from this group got together and sent me a ticket to come serve with them. This group is absolutely amazing! They have such a hard place to minister– at the end of a cul-de-sac with the mill about 50 yards away on private property. They serve faithfully every day the place is open.

These folks are so beautiful. It brings me to tears seeing how they long to serve God and the people who come here. Its amazing to see how the Lord used one picture to get this ministry going. There wasn’t nearly enough time to spend there and I can’t wait to get back. If you have been wanting to begin serving at your clinic I would highly suggest you get ahold of Jocelyn Acuff, Erika Calihan, and the group. They really know what they are doing.

Teniqua

As told by John Barros:

Please pray for precious little Teniqua. God was working on her heart as she arrived and during the preaching she trusted Him. She is so thankful and her mother said “Thank you!” over and over.

Please pray for this young lady and these RBC students as they sacrifice what precious little time they have preparing for finals…..

Cynthia

As reported by John Barros:

“It sure is tough ministering down here during Easter week. To know what joy there is in Jesus and the price He paid for our sin. It’s so hard to see people come and kill their children. Thankfully, God turned the hearts of three young ladies today… The young lady in the photo, Cynthia, wanted to say thank you to the ladies that gave her the items in her Blessing Bag.  She went to True Life Choices and got loved up by the ladies there.  Please continue to pray for God to open the eyes of those coming tomorrow.”.10262135_10203633597468868_6682684108468856982_n

Special Day

As reported by John Barros:

“Today was special… At first the horror of this place was overwhelming.  To think that we remember Jesus going to His death this week and seeing people, especially professing Christians, coming to kill their babies is unbelievable.  God’s Word went forth though and it convicted three ladies.  Not enough time to go into it all but the first lady came out immediately after the preaching in tears. 10151877_10203622463070515_3437082305350863389_n They didn’t need anything and her husband looked like he had no idea what had happened.  The second lady seemed to be softening on the porch even though her Grandmother was rushing her to fill out the paperwork.  She came out after finding out she was having twins and one of her babies was outside her uterus… She prayed with Jessica and Sarah and went to the hospital.   Dr. Collins told me if the baby is ectopic the hospital will have to take him.  It was amazing to watch this young lady go from wanting an abortion to wanting to save her babies. Then a young lady came out like she had drank about 10 energy drinks saying “I don’t know why but I’m not doing this!”  When offered a Blessing Bag and info on where to go she just kept saying, “I’m not doing this…”  Daria came down to encourage us today… She is such a blessing and these Reformation Bible College kids are so awesome! They show me hope for the future.  Please continue to pray… You are making a difference.”  1175388_10203622463990538_5158905074990684366_n.

Blessing Bags

As reported by John Barros:

“So unbelievably blessed!  A group of ladies from around the country pray daily for the Ministry down here.   These ladies not only pray but send “Blessing Bags” to give to the ladies that choose life… They sent handmade soaps, caps, booties, etc. 970585_10203602409969200_1017634537345829700_n Well a man has to know his limitations; I could never put these together so God sent Jessica and Leslie down from Reformation Bible College. Even Dr. Collins was admiring all the gifts.1538886_10203602408449162_1775320989823441222_n  Please pray for hands to put these into this week.  This is the hardest week to be down here, seeing the ultimate blaspheme of murdering babies the week we celebrate our Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection…”.

Mourning Plants But Not Babies

As reported by John Barros:

Wednesdays are always awful down here with late-term abortions as well as the others but today had an added strangeness. It was weird to see the workers come out and mourn the loss of a couple of the plants they had recently planted while sixteen girls were inside having abortions.

There was another guy worried about his car. He was making such a fuss that the policeman brought him outside to talk. Another guy was mocking and telling Jennifer that if she would swim across the lake he would keep their baby. Life is so cheap in Orlando. Cars and plants are of more value to the folks down here than a baby.

People came by filming the preaching and snapping pictures of whoever is here. This kind of thing is getting to be a daily occurrence. The lady who runs these clinics pulled up and asked how I liked Fort Lauderdale. I asked how she knew and she said it is her job to find out everything about me. It’s just really getting weirder.

There was some AWESOME NEWS though: God rescued two babies today. Then a girl named Lindsay heard the preaching and came down to listen. When I was done she asked if she could speak to me about God. I was able to sit on the wall and go through the gospel with her. She came under deep conviction about her sin and was brought to Repentance. It was so beautiful. Please pray for Lindsay as she will be coming to Saint Andrew’s with me this Sunday. Jennifer got her contact info and will be helping her. Please pray for her.

Then a man named Dennis came down. He had seen the video and wants to help down here when he can. He is becoming a member of Saint Andrew’s on Sunday. It was a busy, busy day, folks; please continue to pray..

Fort Lauderdale

As told by John Barros:

I had a wonderful day in Fort Lauderdale. I went down to help Stacy and Erika serve in front of the Fort Lauderdale Women’s Center. We had heard that no one was serving at this clinic, but were pleasantly surprised to find about twenty other people out there. It turns out that 40 Days For Life was targeting this clinic. I can’t think of a better clinic to serve at.

There is a church right next door that helps. One of the pastors was so thankful. You can have full access to their property. You can actually be about two feet from the window at one spot.

I am looking for a retired Christian man to step up and adopt this place. He could really make a difference, and there are folks who want to serve with him. Please pray that God would raise up such a man.

I got to serve with Al Mohler’s mother today as well as various leaders of several right to life groups and some of the dearest saints you could ever want to meet. Christine LaValley saw my post on Facebook and came. It was so awesome to serve and decompress with Stacy and Erika. They have such huge hearts for Jesus and the lost.

So many of these folks are willing to serve, and a full-time witness would be easy here. Please pray this place gets covered. I’m going to do what I can with Stacy but a local man is really needed..
